Installing the ServiceNow Vulnerability Response Integration with Checkmarx v1.0.32
Before you can run the integration on your instance, the application must be installed from the ServiceNow Store and configured to integrate with the Application Vulnerability Response module.
Prerequisites
Please complete the following setup checklist prior to installation. These tasks are required for a smooth installation and configuration.
Verify that the Vulnerability Response application is installed and activated.
To verify that this application is activated:
Navigate to Subscription Management > Subscriptions .
Ensure Vulnerability Response is in the list of purchased subscriptions. If it is not installed or activated, see Install Vulnerability Response .
Verify that you have the required ServiceNow roles for your instance.
The following roles are required for installation and subsequent configuration:
System Administrator (admin): Required to install the application from the ServiceNow Store and to assign users to the App-Sec Manager group.
App-Sec Manager (sn_vul.app_sec_manager): This role is required to configure the integration after it has been installed. For more information on group roles, see Application Vulnerability Response user groups and roles .
Installation Process
The installation involves two main phases: requesting the app from the ServiceNow Store and then installing it on your instance.
Phase 1: Request the Application from the ServiceNow Store
Log into the instance where you will install the Checkmarx Vulnerability Integration.
Navigate to the ServiceNow Store .
In the ServiceNow Store, search for Vulnerability Response Integration with Checkmarx SAST and SCA .
Click the application title to view its details.
Click Request App and enter your Now Support login credentials.
Click Get .
Enter the Instance Name and Reason for the Instance , and click Validate Instance .
Click Request . You will receive an email with detailed installation instructions.
Phase 2: Install the Application on Your Instance
In your ServiceNow instance, navigate to System Applications > Applications .
Locate the application you requested, select it, and click Install .
Your application will be automatically installed on the instance.
