Learning Paths and Skills Tree
Note
Currently available only to early adopters. Please reach out to your CSM for more details.
Learning Paths are a navigatable series of nodes (lessons, courses, challenges, and assessments). Learning Paths are personalized to your programming and learning preferences and are intended to make your learning experience more engaging and efficient. Complete a learning path to master a subject and earn its certificate and recognition as an expert.
Access your Learning Path by clicking on the banner on the homepage or its tile under the Learn tab.
Once you begin, select your preferred programming language(s) for your Learning Path (we recommend selecting no more than 3).
After you select your language(s), your Learning Path is displayed. On the left, you will see your progress panel showing your certificate progress, estimated completion time, and chosen languages. On the right is an overview of the Learning Path and its nodes. After completing a node, you will automatically proceed to the next one. However, if multiple nodes are available, you may choose which one to follow.
Clicking the key icon at the bottom-left part of the screen will open the Legend tab that details the specific nodes available.
Note
Currently only available for early adopters.
The Skill Tree is an extension of the Learning Path feature that lets you master specific skill sets beyond the scope of a single Learning Path. Skill Trees consist of several interconnected Learning Paths and are great for distinguishing yourself as a specialist. For instance, the Security Champion Program is a Skill Tree with Learning Paths focusing on security in various programming fields like Backend, Frontend, and DevOps.
While progressing through a Skill Tree, you can switch between Learning Paths and keep your progress intact. Earn a Diploma by conquering all the Learning Paths in a Skill Tree. Similar to regular Learning Paths, the Status panel in the Skill Tree displays the Diploma, overall progress, earned awards, estimated time to finish, and selected favorite languages.
